The AGM of the South East Young Members Forum will ne held on Friday 9th & Saturday 10th April 2010 at the above address.
Registration will take place from 4p, with the AGM to start at 5pm sharp until 6.45pm followed by evening meal.
The following day will be a proactive day of discussions involving workshops on planning for the 12 months ahead for the South East Young Members Forum.
The South East Region AGM is open to all Young Members - age 26 and under, and is conducted in a very creative, fun and informal format. The region's Young member's forum ensures that the opinions and issues of Young Members are taken into account of and reresented within UNISON. The forum will link into national/ regional campaigns and help ensure young workers are at the heart of UNISON's negotiationg and campaigning agenda.
The AGM will approve the Forum's Action Plan and nominate and elect 12 Young Members - age 26 and under to the Forum, in accordance with the principles of proportionality and fair representation. Elections to a number of important regional and national committees will also take place at the AGM.
There will also be an opportunity for members to network, discuss issues of concern to Young Members and look at ways to collectively address them effectively.
